What are Woven Fabrics?

Woven fabrics are fabrics formed by weaving, which is a process that involves interlacing two sets of yarns at right angles to each other. The longitudinal yarns are called the "warp," and the lateral yarns are called the "weft" or "filling."

Weaving can be done on a loom, a machine designed for this purpose. There are many different weaving techniques, which can be used to create a variety of patterns and textures in the finished fabric.

What is a Chiffon Fabric?

Chiffon is a very light, transparent fabric in canvas weave and produced with crepe twist yarns. Chiffon fabric can be composed of a wide range of fibers or their blends: natural fibers, such as cotton and silk; semi-synthetic fibers, such as rayon; synthetic fibers, such as nylon and polyester.
